No longer in MN. This will all be stripped and I think I have a solution to fix the shifts of thickness in the paint where this lettering over the years has caused some damage to the gelcoat.
New
Trim Pump rewire/inspection. I was just attempting to get the trim system to work to see if any repairs are needed. it actually works great (after complete reconiguration from 2 relays to 1, and fully rewired).
New
All of this needs to be replaced.
New
I'll have to find something that goes in this hole. A Rockford Fosgate PMX1 would work, or a better version of it...hmm. That would solve a few problems... Full amp, bluetooth, sub line out. Hmm.

Rails mostly polished. I haven’t decided if I’m going full mirror finish. It would only be a few more steps, but I’m not sure if it’ll clash with the aluminum frame of the windows. I would rather sink the boat then polish those.

Polishing the aluminum rail supports. Six of these. About 2 hrs each. Still not completely mirror. Next step would be a wet rub with wd40. Stupid messy

A neighbor and I took the kayaks over to see hour hard it would be to dig out about a foot of rocks and stuff from under the bridge. His nautique has trouble getting through as it’s fairly low. I threw a lacrosse ball, which bounce like super ball’s. I clearly didn’t think this through. I looked in horror as it bounced toward the boat. It launched about 30’ into the air down the hill after hitting an invisible nuclear spring board in the yard. Luckily it landed right between the shore line and the big school bus bumper on the nose of the boat. Norah was a bit confused. “Where it go!?!” 😝

First try at sharpening/leveling (well, while actually having the right tools and know-how) We’ve always been in town before so I had them done at Ace Hardware (very reasonable btw). These are pretty beat up. I almost wish I had my old tractor before finding all the hard hidden yard bits with the new one. My current set need to be redone… I don’t think they got them quite level, and this deck sounds like you’re mowing gravel if they are off. I’m not exaggerating. It’s embarrassing to drive, and I freely dance on the board when a good time comes on ☺️

New
Prototyping a Bimini shelf. That little vertical bar is supposed to be used for transport only. Normally it’s in the longer bar position. Well to get under our bridge it needs to be in the lower position which is is both a pain in the ass and not quite low enough for my liking. The Bimini scrapes by with about 2” to spare. Add the narrow bridge, less than 2’ depth, and rocks that seemingly shift overnight, and having to get the attitude just right, it’s a lot to pay attention to. Wifey is 50/50 (read: 20%) paying attention, so not my most reliable safety lever on top of the chaos of the bridge. This will lower it a bit more and the Bimini can just set down on it, rather than trying to get those short vertical bars in place. Wife almost lost some fingers 😬. Almost had a trip to the er. Anyways. The design will be drastically different than this. I put the rain cover on after my beauty of a drawing, and i realized i didn’t account for the cover snaps. Just a big adjustment to the right but I can make it work. I’ll probably do brushed aluminum plate for the backing and polished aluminum layer (smaller) for rigidity. I’ll need more tools 😁
New
Nonna got a new toy ☺️. Not quite the shredder the caravelle will be, lol.
New
I got the dock lines all sorted. Massive alligator clips, connected in the stern to the stern line/spring line and to the bow line spring line. The alligator clips into the boat cleats. Super simple for anyone to un-moor super easy
New
Here is the full setup. It’s kind of hard to see it, everything is the same color, lol
New
Bow setup. Once the spring lines loosen, the tension is removed, and the Bow and Spring lines free up enough to unhook the big hooks.
New
Stern and Spring line connection. Same setup for Bow. Without getting too detailed, the spring lines are push/pull adjustable. You walk up to the boat, loosen spring lines, unlatch those big ass Kong Tango clips, and you’re off. Way way easier than tying knots all the time.
New
My Microsoft paint skills are top notch! A picture I drew before we got the pontoon. The spring lines connect in the center to stop fore and aft movement. Spring and Bow lines keep it from swing our away from the dock. In the picture, Dock is gray, boat is red (we were close to getting a red boat but passed on it, lol)
New
Turboswing (round bar a around the engine, for whipping the piss out of tubes. The Mercury 115HP ProXS with Command Thrust lower unit. All that means is 20k on a new boat 😳😳😳😳. And it should be able to launch this square lake greyhound quick enough to pull an experienced skier
New
Sealing the pontoon cover. I spent all weekend cleaning and clearing the garage so I could strip the garage floor clean to wash and apply sealant. I’ve got to find a better way to do this. What a pain. I hadn’t cleaned cleaned the floor since we moved in. It wasn’t bad at all then. It looked like a murder scene after a few years with clumsy me.
New
Home Depot cement mobile piers. Our local ordinance states I can’t make permanent piers. So.... I can take mine on a picnic 🤣. The shore is not even, of course. The shore side of the dock basically sits on a loose rock wall on the shores edge, of which the rocks move and fall out, making the dock unsteady a bit. I’m going to put these a bit back from shore, with cement pavers/shims for stability. Should allow me to set the dock on these (barely above ground level over shore a few inches), and then adjust level with shims rather than a large skipping stone and a softball sized rock to keep the peace between aluminum and earth :-) We'll see how long the cement holds up. Maybe my prototype can just stay in the water and I never have to worry about it again.

Wifey left for the weekend. MODIFY EVERYTHING WHILE SHE CAN’T OBJECT! 😂. Tinting the pontoon drivers window, but for good reason. My eyes look right at the top edge of the glass when on plane. Kinda annoying. Putting tint to delineate between the two. It’s like just a bit off from my prescription glasses and it’s distracting. I’m hoping tint will help.
New
Finger condom! I have a pretty gnarly cut that i prolly should have had it stitched, need to keep it dry while pressure washing the garage floors. I’m prepping to treat the massive boat cover with sealant.

So so so tempting. This is the year the Toyota Celica Supra split into 2 separate lineages, Celica and Supra. I had a gorgeous 1984 Celica Supra. This would be a nice alternative to fulfill that void. And it’s a convertible! Damn I miss that Supra. A hard second gear drop would rip the tires from the pavement in a squealing harmonic chirp whilst snapping the ass right, forcing countersteer to the left. I still remember my grin as I nearly shat mes-elf the first time I dropped the clutch into second with her 3 liter at full song. The blip of the throttle, the exhaust flipped to pissed, and she sent it. Oh, What. A. Drug. And I’ve been chasing it, catching it, and chasing it again. Oh so joyous. lol Not my fastest or the best, but it was a Ferrari as far as I was concerned. I owned a rocketship at age 20 from a good deal and a bit of elbow grease and I babied her as such (other that the drivetrain, an affliction I still possess, lol). 3 washes a week. I was a bit obsessed. It’s still the prettiest car out of about thirty I’ve owned, in my opinion. Google “1984 Cherry Red Toyota Celica Supra images”. Mine looked just like it, but 17” rims that were absolutely unheard of at the time. And jet black tint. Yum. That car is Sex ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 This and the Trans Am my brother built me for my first car. Now I’m sad 😔
